Ellvena Graham is new ESB Chair

6The Government has approved the appointment of Ms Ellvena Graham as Chair of the Electricity Supply Board (ESB) after her nomination by energy minister Alex White following a competitive process carried out by the Public Appointments Commission.

Ms Graham is the first woman to be appointed chair of the ESB and her appointment follows a spell as acting Chair since January 2015. She has been a non-executive member of the Board since 2010.

Minister White expressing delight at the appointment said: “I believe that her stewardship will contribute to the continued success of the ESB group of companies which play an important role in the Irish energy market.” Ellvena Graham is a former Northern Ireland banker having held a number of senior positions including Head of Ulster Bank, Northern Ireland.
