Bridging the Skills Gap in Northern Ireland

Our mission is to recognise and reward learning so that people of all ages achieve their goals in life and work.

Through our recognised centres we provide access to meaningful, accessible and affordable qualifications which play a key role in improving life opportunities. This empowers learners to realise their full potential and make a positive contribution to our society. Our flexibility and responsiveness to economic need ensures our qualifications are tailored to the needs of education and training providers, employers and learners. We aim to support the work of the NI Executive by tackling educational underachievement and helping create a skilled workforce to meet the needs of the NI economy.

OCN NI is a leading Awarding Body in Northern Ireland.  Based locally, we work closely in partnership with education and training providers to develop and award professional and technical (vocational) qualifications, from Entry Level to Level 5 across a wide range of subject areas.

As a registered charity, our purpose is to advance education and ensure learners of all ages and abilities maximise their potential. Over the past 20 years we have developed economically relevant and learner engaging curricula, which have benefited the lives of over 400,000 students throughout NI.

Our qualifications cater for a variety of learner abilities, from improving levels of literacy numeracy to up skilling people in employment and developing pathways to Further and Higher Education.
